Looks like DEMs could be headed for a brokered convention.

DNC May end up picking Bloomberg. They don’t want Bernie, that’s obvious. I don’t think they want to try to sell Buttigieg and they realize Biden is a worn out shoe.

Ol Joe can win South Carolina, he just needs to avoid another Corn Pop/Leg Hair story in front of the camera. Can the Gaff-o-Matic keep it together for two weeks?

The more effort it takes for him to avoid gaffes will be when he makes the doozies. He needs to stick to a speech. (Written by someone else)

I wonder if they will have a staffer with their hand on the plug whenever Joe steps up to the mike?

The thing is the Democrats have just about everything rigged. they can change the Super Delegates any time they want....

Uh, it's about who the majority wants

Hope they do pick Bloomberg....
He's got ties to Ukraine and Victor Pinchuk
So does his top adviser

If it goes to a brokered convention then there is no majority. Then it is essential horse trading among the superdelegates. The will of the voters is essentially ignored at that point.

After the retribution against Manafort for helping Trump to win what looked to be a contested convention for populism against the establishment, how many capable people are willing to step up now? Last I heard Manafort was chained to a wheelchair in solitary confinement. Most people can't even imagine how hard solitary confinement can be for people. How many can keep their sanity?

Tell the difference between the Hero's and the Zero's. Those willing to step up despite the danger from the Left.

If Biden comes back and wins South Carolina, then it becomes even more of a possibility. If it goes to a brokered convention I might just get my box of popcorn and watch the shenanigans as the Super Delegates swoop in and take away the Democrats choice....again.

Democrats see chances rising for brokered convention

I wrote about it in another Election Forum thread: NYT poll: Bernie has comfortable lead in Iowa

My prediction is that none of current Democratic leaders would be nominated, rather someone new will be brought in during convention.

What options Democrats have now?

A billionaire who's racist and actually arrested blacks using stop and frisk
A gay guy who has no history, no substance and reminds of Barry
A woman who has a personality of a damp table cloth
A socialist who would like to run re-education camps
A corrupted plagiarist with so much baggage that it couldn't fin on aircraft carrier.

Any option they choose they are getting screwed.

/----/ If Bernie wins the most delegates or popular votes and the DNC kicks him to the curb, don't be surprised is the Communist runs as an Independent.

I agree totally. That's why Warren will stay in until Super Tuesday so she can pick up delegates, especially in California and Massachusetts. She could have enough delegates to be king maker, or in the case of Buttegieg, "queen maker." Establishment "Super Delegates" will stop Bernie. They want a Klobachur-Buttegieg ticket in order to portray Trump as anti-woman and anti-gay. The whole "victims of the bully in the White House" thing.
