Just came upon this forum today in my search for a fresh start on discussion forums. My main interests are politics/current affairs and religion/philosophy.

Welcome to the party medium rare...errr well done. I came here after being banned from other forums. There are lots of good Trumplicans here and lots of shitlibs. You won't get banned here for speaking your mind just make sure to follow posting and guidelines rules for starting threads.

And we do have a mod that seems to think truth is a conspiracy theory and moves posts down to that section LOL shitlibs man

I've only been here for about 3 days. I encountered three bad Trumplicans working as a team just yesterday in one thread. At least I suspect they're Trumplicans. Rightards, at least. Definitely jerks.

Can one be banned for not knowing those posting rules? What is an example of a reason someone might be banned? Do they "shadow ban" here?

Huh! I never heard of that one. One thing I am seeing less is sock-puppeting. I thought of it because today I realized a guy in a thread here is the same guy who has changed his name at least eight times I can recall --- very, very distinctive posting style, probably not possible to be mistaken. But there used to be a huge amount of that, also dual (or more) accounts to make it seem like someone has more support than he did. That was mostly on smaller forums, really swamped them. So mods started looking at IP numbers and doing away with posters with duplicates. I remember a guy who posted from work and from home as different people ---- but it was pretty obvious. Same diction, word choice, etc.

That does not appear to be the case. I saw a thread where the extremely racist black guy who creates racist threads in Zone 1 where mods protect him, have had an ongoing discussion about facts pertaining to blacks. Friends and Lisa obviously were dominating with fact and reason, but then the moderator (forgot the name, but "varmint" rings a bell) and the rabid black racist turned the conversation by declaring facts about blacks they don't want to hear were suddenly "racism" and "white supremacy." Wicked shit.
