While I am not on the Left, what can be said is there must be a reason why Russia--on the current global stage-- is the lone large, predominantly Caucasian nation currently not under invasion by waves of illegal immigrants. In fairness, European heads of state are equally to blame by proxy of their very liberal national immigration and refugee assimilation policies, as the uh um 'refugees' themselves. Then there's Russia, the sole holdout--surrounded to the south and east by unlike cultures, nevertheless, remaining a bastion of cultural nationalism.

Could some "world watchers" for lack of a better term, view Russia as an eastern shore, the U.S. as a western shore, and Europe as a bridge between them? A culturally crumbling bridge no less, perhaps? After all, whole civilizations around the ancient Mediterranean once vanished over a span of historically very few years. Some historians credit said disappearances to cultural replacement by mass influx of peoples of radically different traditions, religions, language and, perhaps, skin tone.

On this issue, what I wager could be happening, is while our President recognizes V. Putin for what he is--a draconian throwback to darker ages--he also sees him, and Russia, as a rampart of resistance against cultural invasion; a bedrock--if you will--in a global immigration war. A presumption could then be made that our President wishes to fortify America in a similar fashion, against the refugee storm gaining momentum beyond our own southern reaches.

Also of note, and any interested reader can Google it up on their own, is Russia's dealings with radical Leftism within its own borders. One recent example is the way in which Russia's own citizens dealt with ***** Riot when the "band" tried to publicly stir up trouble in one city or the other. While our First Amendment protects us as sort of a broad euphemism for many forms of public expression under the umbrella of free speech, and thankfully so, what a couple of Cossacks did to the aforementioned "band" is not entirely dissatisfying when compared to the disastrous effects of radical Leftism on our young minds across our country.

Russia, currently, is the antithesis of Europe on immigration and cultural preservation. While not 'Pro' Putin, I do believe our POTUS recognizes a certain steadfastness and undying vigilance in Russia that Europe drastically lacks, against forces all nations need to protect their peoples against immediately.
