Vehicle flips on Fargo's 25th Street after driver, passenger bail | INFORUM | Fargo, ND

The car was traveling northbound on 25th Street when the occupants noticed smoke and decided to bail after the brakes failed to work, Vettel said.

Police arrived on the scene and found the driver and passenger about a half block from the vehicle. Both were conscious when they were taken from the scene, Vettel said.

Vettel said police suggest drivers coast a vehicle to a stop if the brakes aren’t working.

“The last thing you want to do is exit a vehicle while it’s still moving,” he said.
