Live link to JACK SMITH testifying to Congress about Trump prosecutions (10am Eastern)

what do you think it means?

I mean, it literally means physically running off to avoid prosecution...physically leaving the jurisidiction. Do you think you can just make things up now?

Fleeing prosecution means leaving a jurisdiction to avoid facing criminal charges, often by crossing state or national borders, which creates a fugitive from justice status, leading to arrest warrants, extradition requests, and the suspension of statutes of limitations, with federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1073) specifically addressing "Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution" (UFAP). It's a serious offense that can result in harsher penalties, with law enforcement actively pursuing fugitives, sometimes using bounty hunters, and courts treating such actions severely.

Yea sure, I'll give 100% of that to you....now read the whole thing minus the objection

"reasonable grounds to believe that such disclosure will result in flight from prosecution, destruction of or tampering with evidence, intimidation of potential witnesses, and serious jeopardy to the investigation."

Is that any less of a reason to not disclose the investigation of records - **** no.

Game over, these nitpicks not serious argument that not disclosing investigative steps was improper.

The one that was dismissed?

It was dismissed without prejudice by a Trumptard named Cannon on technical grounds that Jack Smith had no right to bring charges, there wasn't ever real refutation of the facts of the case.

Case was then refiled again and there was little reason to think Trump would not get convicted except for him winning the I'm-now-above-the-law card in election.

Bullshit gotcha games.

The nondisclosure order from the court said that there were "reasonable grounds to believe that such disclosure will result in flight from prosecution, destruction of or tampering with evidence, intimidation of potential witnesses, and serious jeopardy to the investigation."

"Was Speaker McCarthy a flight risk?" Gill asked.

"He was not," Smith replied.

"He was not. Then why does your nondisclosure order refer to him as a flight risk?" Gill said.

After some back and forth, Smith answered: "With respect to a nondisclosure order, the risks aren't necessarily associated with the subscriber to the phone. The risks are to the investigation."

Flight from prosecution doesn't nescessarily mean physically running off, it means taking steps to obstruct investigators.

Moron, the point is that Cannon, after lenghly convulsions, could not dismiss the criminal case against Trump on the facts.

Her opinion condicted hundreds of years of history and even Supreme Court rulings. It would be (AGAIN!) thrown out if the whole thing wasn't rendered moot by Trump winning the election.

Of course she did. The fact was that the prosecution violated the US constitution
