This is more than just a tax cut story. It's about a fundamental shift in power and wealth from average people and the governments they had formed to represent them, to the capture of those governments and economic enslavement of their people by corporate aristocracies.

Starting with the Reagan/Bush administration, when, in 1983, corporate taxes revenues were slashed to a low not seen since 1929.

“feudalism coincided with a profound weakening of the State, particularly in its protective capacity.”

Once the rich and powerful gain control of the government, they turn it upon itself, usually first eliminating its taxation process as it applies to themselves.

And, as George H.W. Bush pointed out when he was president, this isn't just an American phenomenon. It's a New World Order.

"fascism" - a word that was defined by The American Heritage Dictionary (Houghton Mifflin Company, 1983) as "A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism."

We are quickly shifting toward a corporate-run state in countries all over the world. It appears "free" and even allows elections, albeit they are only among candidates funded and approved by corporate powers, held on voting machines owned by those corporate powers, and marketed in media owned by those corporate powers.

If our elected representatives - and those of other "free" nations - don't quickly wake up and reverse course, we will soon again be in a feudal world. And it's up to us - We the People - to help them awaken.

The state should be profoundly weakened, that was one of the purposes the founders had in mind had when they formulated the Constitution.

They also worried the rich, or corporations would take over the government.

We've been warning America about you cons since the 2000's when you were in love with Bush.

In a May 25, 2001 interview, Grover Norquist told National Public Radio's Mara Liasson, "I don't want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub." Norquist got his wish. Democracy - and at least several thousand people, most of them Democrats, black, and poor - drowned last week in the basin of New Orleans. Our nation failed in its response, because for most of the past 25 years conservatives who don't believe in governance have run our government.

I think Trump is uniquely qualified to get us out of the debt we are in. By having America file bankruptcy. Pay China pennies on the dollar. Cuts to social security and privatize medicare.

What did Reagan do to corporate taxes in 1983?

Really? How small did the government become after he said that?

The phrase Reagan tax cuts refers to changes to the United States federal tax code passed during the presidency of Ronald Reagan. There were two major tax cuts: The Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981 and the Tax Reform Act of 1986.

You'll see after Elon, Vivek and Dr. Oz accomplish Grover's dream.

The destruction of the middle class didn't happen one year. It happened over time since around 1978.

Reagan didn't cut corporate taxes in 1983 or even before 1983, did he?
That's disappointing.

I can't wait for it to happen.
How are you going to benefit? Can you be specific? What do you do?

I just realized I deal with Mexico, Canada and China. Biden never undid Trump's tariffs on China from 2019 and I understand we don't make DICK on our Chinese model. 30% tariff? Something like that? Anyways, Trump, like Bush, is definitely going to hurt manufacturing. The backbone of the middle class. So he will lose swing states in 2026 and 2028.

What is your story? Like, what Trump policies do you think are going to benefit you and what is it that you do?

A smaller, less wasteful government.
Good for me, good for my country, good for all the generations that follow.

If it happens sure. Usually Republicans just cut a lot of social programs that benefit us, cut their own taxes. The debt keeps building. We get crumbs.

Reagan was for smaller government but he grew the government. He GREW the government. What happened?

And you'll be here to say "I told you so", when it does.

I will be paying very close attention. My prediction. You'll be defending Trump's bad decisions right from day one and for the next 4 years. What he meant. It had to be done. Sorry if it cost you your job. Social Security is socialism. We told you don't count on it. Yada yada.

Sounds like a plan.
