A year or two ago, I brought up John Stuart Mill and John Rawls who just happen to be THE most influential liberal political philosophers of the 20th and 19th centuries. It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out who was putting them down here.

The way I see it is that western society has been shaped by liberal values, has achieved much due to these values and now it is time to CONSERVE these values against the hoards of authoritarians who are out to destroy it.
