Hormones do define most everything we do. Famous annecdote of a GRS surgeon who herself underwent the procedure who identified as straight as a man, started the process taking hormones and noted he suddenly found men sexually attractive. If this is a repeatable occurence, a "cure" for homosexuality may be hormone treatment. And the flipside of tolerating homosexuality would be hormonal treatment as well ala a vaccine. Sounds like most every dystopian novel to me though.
