Let's get something clear. When a president puts the military on his citizens, that president is a tyrant. Period.

If America were in a more solid psychological/emotional state, a person whose electoral margin of victory and Electoral College vote win percentage were both below average would understand how divided we are and govern accordingly. They would actively look for ways to find common ground so that more people had skin in the game.
Unfortunately, America is in a terrible psychological/emotional state right now, and we have a President who has exactly zero interest in the above. Worse, that condition has only been going downhill for quite some time.
