So. Cal, Malibu!
Seriously, how much is this going to cost the taxpayers?

After all, there is no way in hell that a fair and impartial jury will be found in NYC. Just about every citizen in that city either had family, friends, or knew someone who was a victim. At the very least, they were profoundly affected by the events of 9/11. So, what you will have is a series of mis-trials that very well could lead to charges being dropped in the end. That begs the question, how many times are we going to try these dirtbags, before so many mis-trials have been declared that the judges will no doubt push to have the charges dropped?

This is a travesty. Just one more major blunder, in a growing series of blunders by this inept and COMPLETELY incompetent president and administration.

Bottom line, those scumbags were fully willing to plead guilty in military tribunals. They wanted to make martyrs of themselves so, MARTYR THE MOTHERFUCKERS!

Look at it this way. The Hussein's good friends in the ACLU will make millions, and taxpayers get to fund it all!

We have spent all of these years in Iraq and Afghanistain for nothing.

Bush could have solved the problem from the get go. People forget about this:

Bush rejects Taliban's offer on handing over bin Laden

WASHINGTON, Oct. 14, 2001

President George W. Bush on Sunday rejected an offer from Afghanistan's ruling Taliban to discuss turning over Islamic militant Osama bin Laden if the United States stops air strikes against Afghanistan.

''There is no need to discuss innocence or guilt. We know he's guilty,'' Bush told reporters as he returned to the White House from his Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland.

''Turn him over, turn his cohorts over, turn any hostage they hold over, destroy all the terrorist camps. There's no need to negotiate...I told them exactly what they need to do,'' Bush said.

The Bush administration believes bin Laden masterminded the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington. It accuses the Taliban of providing shelter to the Saudi fugitive and his al-Qaida network of terrorist groups.

At a news conference in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, on Sunday, Taliban Deputy Prime Minister Haji Abdul Kabir said the Taliban would be willing to discuss handing over bin Laden to a third country, or putting him on trial in Afghanistan, if the U.S. military ends bombing and provides evidence of his involvement in the attacks on the U.S.

That would be because Osama bin Laden's position would just be taken over by someone else, and our hands would be tied when it came to dealing with it.

Good move on Bush's part. You don't make deals with terrorists.

Notice how Kamir said nothing of the TALIBANS involvement in providing training sites for Al-qaeda. Notice how he said nothing of the TALIBANS involvement period.

Bush was absolutely right!

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI

"...Secondly, he is not escaping us. This is a guy, who, three months ago, was in control of a county [sic]. Now he's maybe in control of a cave. He's on the run. Listen, a while ago I said to the American people, our objective is more than bin Laden. But one of the things for certain is we're going to get him running and keep him running, and bring him to justice. And that's what's happening. He's on the run, if he's running at all. So we don't know whether he's in cave with the door shut, or a cave with the door open -- we just don't know...."
- Bush, in remarks in a Press Availablity with the Press Travel Pool,
The Prairie Chapel Ranch, Crawford TX, 12/28/01, as reported on
official White House site

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

If this is true, Bush made a tremendous blunder.

It's a fact. Just google it.

It was reported on all of the news, ABC,CNN, BBC, etc.

"....9:30pm update: * Taliban demand evidence of Bin Laden's guilt
* Second week of airstrikes starts
* Taliban urges US to halt bombing
Staff and agencies guardian.co.uk, Sunday 14 October 2001 22.19 BST Article historyPresident George Bush rejected as "non-negotiable" an offer by the Taliban to discuss turning over Osama bin Laden if the United States ended the bombing in Afghanistan.
Returning to the White House after a weekend at Camp David, the president said the bombing would not stop, unless the ruling Taliban "turn [bin Laden] over, turn his cohorts over, turn any hostages they hold over." He added, "There's no need to discuss innocence or guilt. We know he's guilty". In Jalalabad, deputy prime minister Haji Abdul Kabir - the third most powerful figure in the ruling Taliban regime - told reporters that the Taliban would require evidence that Bin Laden was behind the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US, but added: "we would be ready to hand him over to a third country".

The offer came a day after the Taliban's supreme leader rebuffed Bush's "second chance" for the Islamic militia to surrender Bin Laden to the US.

Mullah Mohammed Omar said there was no move to "hand anyone over".

Taliban 'ready to discuss' Bin Laden handover if bombing halts
The Taliban would be ready to discuss handing over Osama bin Laden to a neutral country if the US halted the bombing of Afghanistan, a senior Taliban official said today.

Afghanistan's deputy prime minister, Haji Abdul Kabir, told reporters that the Taliban would require evidence that Bin Laden was behind the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US.

"If the Taliban is given evidence that Osama bin Laden is involved" and the bombing campaign stopped, "we would be ready to hand him over to a third country", Mr Kabir added.

But it would have to be a state that would never "come under pressure from the United States", he said.

Mr Kabir urged America to halt its air campaign, now in its eighth day, and open negotiations. "If America were to step back from the current policy, then we could negotiate," he said. "Then we could discuss which third country."

This is just another huge blunder by this hopeless Administration. This fiasco will end up being a wonderful World Stage for brutal Terrorists. They will use this for propaganda purposes. This will also be a wonderful World Stage for the Leftist Loons around the World who will make it all about "Torture" and how "Evil" George Bush was. It will all just be one big sad Dog & Pony Show which will end up only benefiting the World's worst Muslim Terrorists and Leftist Loons. This should have been done by the Military.

You know if even the MSM is reporting the pitfalls that this idea to prosecute in cilvilian court is seriously screwed up. Are those supporting this decision ready to see the terrorists walk free?

"But even if the government can make a strong case without the tainted evidence, Mohammed's treatment could cause problems. It's possible — though not likely — that a court could rule that the government doesn't have the right to prosecute someone who has been severely abused in custody. (Previously suspects have been released even when their abuse didn't prejudice evidence against them, but there's no clear precedent for terrorism cases.) Other issues likely to be raised by the defense, says Dratel, are finding a jury that can be considered impartial, especially blocks from the World Trade Center site, and whether Mohammed's rights to a speedy trial have been violated."

This is staggering - whether or not we could agree to the initial terms or not, it was certainly an opportunity to get things rolling in an a more favorable direction. Absolutely unbelievable.

Right on, millions more in tax dollars being spent on human garbage.

It's gonna be a dog and pony show, but it's a total win for Republicans to rub into the faces of the liberal democrats, another peice of ammo to shoot the wind out of the liberal democratic agenda.

Christ, you're even dumber than boDYKEa.

Fact is, Bin Laden wasn't anywhere near the The Taliban when the offer was made. The offert was made because they were getting the crap kicked out of them. And, Bush was right!...Either Bin Laden was handed directly over to the US or no deal. No third parties, no exceptions!
