Putin is gonna do what is good for Putin. It's as simple as that.

In fact neither economic catastrophe nor a popular uprising have come to pass, with most ordinary Russians resigned to the war as a fact of life.....56% say their economic condition has even improved since the war started.

Store shelves are not empty and though prices have risen a bit (as they have worldwide) there is even more selection than ever before because Turkey, India, and China have products pouring into Russian stores.

The thing that sort of stuck with me was when (a year ago) a young Russian woman was doing a video in a grocery store and she moved to the soda isle.....She said before sanctions she had a choice of two colas, now there's 14....Thanks sanctions!....She said.
