This is sometime after his meeting with Trump and Vance. Baier asks good questions and gives him time to answer without interruption.

I have some commentary, but I wanted to start clean.

A good listen . . .

I started listening to that video earlier, but Zelenski was boring me. When he isnt being smacked down by Trump, he isnt very entertaining to listen to. :dunno:

I think Zelenskyy is struggling with English and too proud/arrogant to use an interpreter.

Actually, as I typed that, at 16:40 on the video above, Zelenskyy looks off camera and apparently consults with an intepretter about the word "regretting." I suppose that is who this guy was:

I assumed he was security or a Ukrainian official.

That is show-biz, and not diplomacy. He should get a woman with a strong personality and strong fluency and knowledge of English. He can listen in English, but he keeps putting his foot in his mouth when he speaks it.

This seems to me that he’s playing on American Citizens heartstrings to try to strong arm security guarantees out of Trump before signing the minerals deal. IMHO he is using the minerals deal as leverage against Trump to make him negotiate more for Ukraine and nothing for Russia. It’s the ONLY leverage he has and he knows it. However I tend to agree with their fear of Putin to renege on any ceasefire or long term peace deal and wants assurances that America (Europe/NATO) will respond with boots on the ground if Putin EVER invades again after the peace deal.

I saw part of the interview. Baier asked him if he has thanked Trump for the support he has received. He said something like "yeah yeah but mostly I think the American people. This isn't about me this is about Ukrainian people to American people."

That sounds all nice and Kumbaya and shit, but it is BS. I guess his goal was to gain sympathy rather than a minerals deal.

This is all payback for the zelensky' "phone call" debacle...if you want to see/hear how effective it was for trump watch the faces and body language of the talking heads, you could feel the desperation and anger in them, calling it an ambush as though they didn't have it coming...this was clearly an "in your face" payback to white liberals in general and the media specifically.

That sounds good to me. Win win. Europe has already said they'll put boots on the ground (French............ :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:) so I have no problem with where this is leading. No yanks please.

Have no time for that grifting little punk, who can't even be bothered to dress himself.
Oi!! I've been wearing old Air Force surplus for YEARS ever since I got about twenty of them for 50c each at a car Boot sale. He's dressing fine to me. I'm now a fad setter, bru!!!!

Could be; but no love lost perhaps. I don't know for sure but let's face it; Trump never forgets...unless he wants to.

I couldn't take more than the first minute of it, I know bullshit when I hear it. I was offended too by Brett Butthead--- I mean, the guy has to /ASK/ if Zel. owes America an apology? He should be TELLING him he owes Trump, Vance and America an apology! Brett can kiss my ass. Zelensky was the one that created a big scene in front of the media being absolutely obstinate. The stupid fuck would not shut up.

If someone did that to Jinping or Kim Jong Un, you would be disappeared, horribly.

Once again, Fox has less than ingratiated themselves with me.

I think you are correct that Fox isn't as fair as it could be, but as Churchill once said about something; it's better than all the others. I also wondered about that as you did but I'm just a little surprised rather than offended. The wheel's still in spin and I'm glad trump is steering.

You're kidding, right? I would never watch Fox News again. It's been ten years. Brett Baier is an ass. I get four news channels for free that are a thousand times more real than Fox News. In fact, its funny--- a lot of the great old alumni Fox kicked off their channel are showing on my channels.

Nothing with Brett Baier ever surprises me.

As the saying goes; as well as expected as long as you don't expect too much. I have Sky News Australia that I look at quite often so Fox is not one I watch. I looked at the whole interview and I am of the mind that Zel knows he has a lot to do and fast. At that level personalities don't matter; it's the outcome. We'll see how it goes. Zel pushing for guarantees PLUS the mineral deal is fair imo. It's also fair that Trump said no; mineral deal first.

Zelensky, of course, wants strong security promises from the US. He has Putin trying to eat Ukraine up.

Now we have heard from the goofball brigade. What do what "white liberals" have to do with this? All good people watched the ambush.

Sure, who wouldn’t want strong security guarantees, especially if outsiders have overrun your country’s border?

It would’ve been nice, for example, if the UK had given the United States strong security guarantees against the illegal aliens that streamed over our border for the last four years. But why would they? How would that be the duty of the United Kingdom?

Same for the United States how is our duty to provide strong security guarantees to Ukraine? Zelensky should be grateful for anything we provide.

I don’t give a shit about his story when you come begging for more money and help don’t pretend you have some high ground! Midget Zelly and sad to say it Ukraine are a bunch of welfare bums. What’s worse is he feels he’s owed it!

Another fallacy of logical equivalency.

Yes, as the one-time and now no longer leader of the West, it was our duty to provide security to Ukraine against Russia.

One again, Trump has failed terribly. Trump voters caused this.
