Let's face it: there's no good reason to deny the construction of the ballroom.

Does the right whine that I am broke ?

No ? Retard

They whine that the COUNTRY is broke?

Oh that

Stupid ****
$40 TRILLION IN DEBT.

About 3 times that in unfunded obligations.

Were aren't just broke, we are nuclear level broke. You are just too stupid to realize it.

Wait . . . do you mean like how leftists tore down historic landmarks and statues all around the country a few years ago of any person or event which did not comport well with the desired leftwing worldview?

This guy is crying over statues of slavery supporters because Civil War era Democrats are today’s Republicans.
That’s why white Southerners love Trump.

Idiot, why don't you try actually reading a history book instead of always being a jackass? They were not all slavery supporters, nor does it matter. The statues commemorate important figures and events in our history. One cannot know where they are going if they have no idea where they came from.

General Lee wasn't even particularly fond of the Civil War nor support for the south, he just went along with leading the confederacy because he felt obligated due to where he lived. And during the war, he continually advocated for its quick resolution.

The events of last night certainly bolster your argument.
No they don't. I was discussing the incident at the hotel with my wife over breakfast and said I bet they use it to promote the ballroom. She said, "They already have."

For a wildly popular prez who is on the defensive over making room for an unnecessarily opulent building by tearing down an historic one this incident sure comes at a convenient time.

Why wouldn’t they use it? One of the big reasons for the ballroom is security.

1.) it is very necessary
2.) Historical? I'm sure there's a few Bushes around the White House that Teddy's horses pissed on.

Current system is outdated and by some accounts falling apart. This is something that is long overdue. The history of the East Wing is spotty and rather insignificant. I guess Eleanor Roosevelt had an office there for a time.
I'm sure there are several trees on the White House property that George Washington's horse took a piss on at one time or another..... I mean so what?
Not likely. George Washington never lived in the White House. John Adams was the first.

Since when do horses piss on trees? :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

Let's get back to the OP's title:

Let's face it: there's no good reason to deny the construction of the ballroom.

And that is 100% true and has been since Trump proposed it. Only silly, jealous, Democrat half-men and losers trying to make some false equivalency argument that we can't afford it when it's financed by donations are opposed to it.
They remain silly half-men and losers.

Its fine but Trump needs to be focusing on things that matter not trivialities to his vanity.
