Let's Eliminate Government-Mandated Handicapped Parking Spots.

Well I answered already but if you want to hear it again….

Your argument has been that businesses will do things like set aside spaces for the handicapped on their own, without any laws or regulations requiring them to do so. This is obviously not true, as handicap spaces did not exist prior to laws mandating them.
Most if not all large businesses voluntarily had spaces before the 1990 ADA legislation.
When I pointed this out, you responded with some nonsense about how there was less fat people back then.

43% of the current US population is obese.
There are 343 million in America
Therefore 148 million Americans are obese.

13% of the population 60 years ago was obese
There were 197 million in America 60 years ago.
Therefore 25.6 million were obese 60 years ago.

That's about a sixfold increase. So yes, there were a lot fewer fat people back then.

And since 40.5% of disabled people are obese, according to the CDC, that's a whole lot more fat people wanting free spaces than before the ADA ruling.

When it was pointed out that this was nonsense, you responded that there was some spaces back then (prove it) and then something about creating a “victim class” which has nothing to do with people in wheelchairs needing room to lower their ******* wheelchair ramps.
There was disabled parking back in the mid 1970s, well before the 1990 ADA legislation.
Is that enough, or do I need to break out the hand puppets to explain it so you understand?
Maybe I should ax that question.

I don't like fat people with no disability taking parking spots from disabled people. Do you?
They have difficulty walking long distances
If you want a handicapped permit, you are welcome to gain 250 lbs

I just can't see rewarding people for eating half gallons of ice cream at a sitting at the expense of the truly disabled, can you?

Are you going to review every handicapped application to see if they contributed to the disability?

If we’re gonna go down that road, many people with disabilities became that way due to chronic conditions largely brought about by poor lifestyle choices.

And I’m not just talking about obesity

Are we going to evaluate each of them to determine if they “deserve” a handicap space?

Per Google AI:
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is for people with limited income and resources who are disabled, blind, or age 65 or older. To qualify, you must have a severe physical or mental impairment that meets the Social Security Administration's definition of disability

Now. You going to admit you're wrong and apologize for your profanity?
It is not only for disability which is what you claimed. There are millions upon millions of people on SSI that are not disabled. If you were talking about disabled people, you should have used SSDI. There are millions of disabled people who do NOT get SSI. I should know, as I am one of them.

Now, take your "holier than thou" attitude and shove it up your hypocritical ass!

Wait. You said SSI had nothing to do with disability and cursed me for saying so. I proved it does. You just got busted, so you need to apologize.
