As we'd discussed many times Russia uses less as 10% of its active troops in Ukraine and is preparing to the war with NATO ( Poland, Germany, Romania, Baltic Lilliputians & Co ) in October, 2022
Ukraine became not more as secondary war place. The main goal of Russia now is to destroy NATO weapons which idiots send to Ukraine hoping clown Zelensky can defeat Putin

During a Thursday speech addressing Russian parliament officials, President Vladimir Putin warned that the military has barely started its operations in Ukraine – suggesting he sees a long haul fight possibly for the whole of Ukraine ahead – in a direct challenge to the West as it continues to send arms to Kiev.
It’s being widely viewed as one of the fiercest speeches and challenges issued to Western backers of Ukraine since he authorized the Feb.24 invasion. He said that “the West wants to fight us until the last Ukrainian” – which he called a tragedy for the Ukrainian people, before adding, “It looks like it’s heading in that direction,” and then put the world on notice that Russia “by and large hasn’t started anything seriously yet.”
“Today we hear that they want to defeat us on the battlefield. Well, what can you say here? Let them try,” Putin said, in a direct challenge to the US and NATO, though without naming them specifically.

The US military would fucking trounce Russia on any battlefield, in any terrain, any time of year. "Russian winter" wouldnt save a single Russian soldier. We would slap the shit out of that embarrassing amateur military.

Less than 10% is bullshit. Russia doesn't have 2 million people in its military. More like 20%. But I dare to assume that it is the most war-capable part. The remaining part are vastly under-trained ill-equipped conscripts and auxiliary regiments.

Sounds like Putin is talking tough because he is scared.

You seem to be unaware that Russia needs to defend all it's borders - especially the Chinese border. Once Finland is fully in NATO, Russia will have another 800 miles of critical border to defend. Plus Russia has soldiers in operations in other countries.

Ukraine can dedicate 100% of military forces to fighting the Russians. Russia can only dedicate a small portion of it's military to fighting in Ukraine.

So far Russia has completely failed in the most important aspect of the war in Ukraine - controlling the skies. That fact shows that Russia is militarily weak.

Dude, your chart actually says that Russian military has 900 000 of personnel. People in reserve don't serve in the military, and be gathered once in three years, at best (if ever), for military training. They are common regulars.

Basically, you proved my point. Russia uses far more than 10% of their military in the war.

The U.S. can stop more than you know. Russia has barely caught up with the technology that the U.S. had in 1990 - and they don't have the industrial base to mass produce any of it. That's why there tanks are getting destroyed by the Ukrainians en masse.

Putin knows that if he launches a nuclear strike against the U.S., Russia will be obliterated. He knows that he does not know the U.S. anti-ballistic missile capabilities - anymore then the Russians knew about our conventional capabilities in 1990. He also knows that the U.S. has been working on ABM technology for a lot longer than Russia has.

More than 20% of their troops, including their 'elite' VDV (Airborne troops), the Marines, and so called Guard tank brigades you call 'a small portion'?

YAWN. We simply don't give a shit about Russian threats.

More BS from the region. And as soon as called on it..........WE'LL NUKE YOU BS......

Oh well.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained on Friday: "Putin thus reminded us that the potentials are completely incommensurable. Russia's potential is so great in this respect that only a small part of it is now being put to use in a special military operation."
There is even a version of why Russia "has not seriously begun. Because so far the special operation is taking place on "its own soil" (which, by the way, was also mentioned by Putin earlier). Not only territorially, but also in spirit, because the inhabitants of these lands consider Russia their homeland.

But what if he does? And when will it do so?

And here we need to listen to what else Putin said. And he said these terrible words: "The desire of the West to be at war with us to the last Ukrainian is a tragedy for the Ukrainian people. But that seems to be where it's going." The words are scary, but they are not a threat, but a statement of fact. A statement of the future that "Western friends" are condemning the Ukrainians to.

"Today we hear that they want to beat us on the battlefield, well, what can I say, let them try," Putin said and added that the "further on, the harder it will be" to agree with Russia.

It means a simple thing - for decades the West did not want to hear Russia, and in the end it took words without action for weakness. It believed that it was possible to ignore Russia. Now in Ukraine, Russia, if we follow the president's logic, is only demonstrating that we need to negotiate, and you can see what your unwillingness to hear us leads to. And the West had better agree, because "the further, the harder it will be.

But this clear demonstration is no longer any good for the West - as Putin says, it's not working because they are fighting with someone else's hands, "to the last Ukrainian.
So it cannot be ruled out that Russia will be forced to start "seriously," and apparently quite soon. Remember what Putin told Shoigu - the groups "West" and "East" continue to carry out tasks, while the group "Center" should rest and regain strength? And there is not much "in spirit" of their own land ahead of them.

Putin is a desperate bag of hot air. We know the capacity of the Russian military. We know that the Russian army is being bled.

Putin is saying this thing in hope the the Russian people don't figure out how badly the War is going in Ukraine. He knows his days are numbered and he's desperate to delay the inevitable.

Setting off the Yellowstone caldera with a nuke would also impact the entire world. We would retaliate with our nuclear weapons making things much worse.

Only a insane man would ever seriously consider nuking Yellowstone.

Unfortunately, some say Putin is insane.

Our government says it would be a pipe dream anyhow.
