In the days when Lent, Ramadan and the Orthodox fast meet, everyone in their own way enters a time of silence, renunciation and re-examination of the heart. Fasting is not just hunger. It's not just restraint. It is a struggle with yourself. It's lowering your gaze, calming your words, guarding your thoughts. That is the moment when a person stops and asks himself: Was I fair? Did I hurt anyone? Did I forget to be grateful? Through Lent, we learn penance and forgiveness. Through Ramadan we learn patience, mercy and charity. Through Orthodox fasting, we learn abstinence and spiritual preparation. But basically - we all learn the same thing: to cleanse the soul, soften the heart and draw closer to God. So let's respect each other. Let's not look at the differences - let's look at the values we share. In the time of fasting, let us be a bridge, not a wall. Because faith is the most beautiful when it teaches us love, not division. May these days bring us peace in our hearts and goodness in our deeds.
