An Amazon worker says she's homeless because she can't afford NYC rent with the $19 she's paid per hour: report
Vice reported that the woman, who works at Amazon's JFK8 facility on Staten Island, lives in her car in the warehouse parking lot.

So Amazon is paying this woman $19.30 per hour to work in their warehouse, but she still cannot afford to live independently in the high COL area where she squats. Parenthetically, it is against the local laws for her to "reside" in her vehicle, as she does, making her a vagrant, technically speaking.
So what do YOU conclude?
- Jeff Bezos doesn't pay enough in Federal Income Tax, or
- The woman needs to move, or
- The woman needs to find a roomie, or
- Amazon needs to pay each employee, regardless of what they do or the economic value thereof, enough for them to live a middle-class life in the region where they reside.
Seriously, on what planet does this "news" source exist? Certainly not on THIS planet. How do they write this shit without being "cancelled" by their readers? Or are their readers so oblivious that they share the writer's sophomoric perspective.
Inquiring minds want to know.
