Heard 3,000 miles away, the explosions threw five cubic miles of earth 50 miles into the air, created 120-foot tsunamis and killed 36,000 people.

On August 26 and August 27, excitement turned to horror as Krakatoa literally blew itself apart, setting off a chain of natural disasters that would be felt around the world for years to come. The sound of the eruption was so loud it was reported that if anyone was within 16 kilometres (10 mi), they would have gone deaf.

Summer temperatures in the northern hemisphere fell by an average of 0.4 °C (0.72 °F) in the year following the eruption.

Sometimes our planet just does some insane things.

This Is the Game Change Ignored by Archaeologists So They Can Waste Funds on Pre-Human Bones

There was a volcanic eruption in 70,000 BC that made Krakatoa look like popcorn. The sun was blocked and there was mass extinction. Only 20,000 humans survived on the whole planet.

This was the true beginning of homo sapiens. Since mankind didn't evolve physically to deal with such drastic conditions, he must have evolved mentally. Before that, he never thought, just had instinctive knee-jerk reactions to his surroundings.

And this has what to do with global warming or Trump?

Now that's silly. Both Homo Erectus and the Neanderthals created and used tools. Both used fire. So they had a lot more going for them than instincts. And Neanderthals and Homo Erectus survived the that bottleneck, also. Yes, such an event would favor those that could think ahead the best, but they had to already have that ability or they would not have survived.

I think the joke is not that leftists would have blamed Krakatoa on Trump, but that right wingers like you would tell us they would. ; - )
