Leftist white nationalist Richard Spencer complains that Trump's platform is inclusive of minorities

Yup, I figured this was going to turn into a "Hitler is a leftist" kind of argument.

Can you elaborate, in your own words, why you believe that Hitler was "right-wing"?
Since nazism believes that the aryan race is superior, this puts it on the right.
This is because primary characteristic of right wing politics is that social hierarchy is desirable and natural.

Wrong again. The "primary characteristic" of right-wing politics is for the government to stay out of the people's business so that they can pursue "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". It's the left that wants hierarchies through total government control of every facet of society.

In the U.S. — but hardly anywhere else — for vestigial historic reasons there is a fetishistic belief that “small government” defines “the right,” and “big government” defines “the left.”

In Europe the right generally supports and always has supported strong authoritarian nationalist government. Early socialist movements originally had strong anarchist and utopian, even Christian cooperative tendencies. The “left” was largely anti-government, agrarian, craft and reform oriented. In the U.S. it was abolitionist — before the Republican Party of Lincoln challenged slavery it often rejected political involvement altogether, since it saw the U.S. Constitution and U.S. government itself as a devilish pact with slavery.

Since the rise of Marxist social-democratic political movements the left emphasized its international, and hence anti-colonial and anti-racist character. Even the Communist anthem was “The International.” It certainly started as pro-working-class, but overestimated the ability of workers to organize genuine workers parties to take power in the West. In underdeveloped countries, “ Marxist revolutionary movements” did take power but quickly degenerated into bureaucratic dictatorships.

The ridiculous attempt by American hard right wingers to redefine U.S. liberal and “democratic socialist” movements as fascist, Nazi-like, or racist, or conversely to characterize ultra-racists like this pos Spencer as “leftist” ... flow from uniquely stupid & parochial U.S. ideology. But like Hitler’s ultra-nationalist & ultra-racist “German National Socialist Workers Party” — the absolute enemy of liberals, democrats and socialists everywhere — this Orwellian abuse of language shows a madness afoot in the U.S. that followed to its logical end could ultimately lead to ... fascism.

Hey genius, why were FDR and so many other prominent Democrats such big admirers of Benito Mussolini?

Hey genius, what did leftist academics and ideologues do after WW2 to distance themselves from their prior love affair with fascism?

Spencer is a self-admitted socialist and progressive. He opposes free-market capitalism and supports a government-managed, socialist, economy. He also supports higher taxes and endless government programs. He believes the government should manage the nation's education and healthcare. Yea, he's a LEFTIST. Congratulations!

Do you have linkage to prove ANY of that goofy screed?

Hey @XponentialChaos

Do you consider Kim Jung-un a member of the political right or of the political left?

I consider him a Fascist .. Like Donald

In other words, anyone you dislike, regardless of their views and actions, is a "fascist", correct? For you, it doesn't matter what their belief system is. Your definition of a "fascist" is anyone that you dislike, correct?

If not, then what is YOUR definition of a fascist? Can you elaborate in your own words or will you copy and paste someone else's definition?

That’s easy. Just as for empire builders and anti-unionists Winston Churchill and Henry Ford, the “rebirth” of Italy had cultural appeal to capitalist and anti-communist capitalist politicians everywhere in those days. FDR was not yet the far-sighted “New Deal” reformer he was to become, aware that the U.S. would sooner or later be drawn into the European war with fascism. You clearly are no genius ... to ask such an easy question.

Can we find some deserted island in the south Pacific and send all white nationalists there?

@RichardBSpencer
Yes, this might seem off-the-wall, but it was Trump's means of transcending polarization by combining his base with Democrats, who are actually interested in national policy. Instead, he embraced "conservatism," so-called "populism," and other platforms that have minority appeal.

If Spencer is a liberal, why do liberals punch him in the face?

I never said that Spencer is a liberal. He's a "leftist", like you.

No he isnt. How absurd. He is a far right fascist. That's why he said it seemed off the wall that he would depart from the far right fascist Trump, if even for a moment.

No Gomer, incorrect. The term is most often defined as “extreme right wing, nationalistic and authoritarian” Sounds like Richard Spencer & your Dotard huh?

Maybe in fantasyland. In America, the hallmarks are to intrude into peoples lives whenever they think baby jebus says they should. And unabashed corporatism.

There are too many white Americans to send to an island. Lincoln wanted to send the blacks back to Africa too bad he didn't get his way.

Our Buck-toothed loon is slightly more clever than Billiejeens, but not by much ;)

And unabashed corporatism.

Wow. Major corporations own most of the media and the vast majority of major media outlets serve the Democratic Party But I know you. You'll support the Democratic Party NO MATTER WHAT!!! Your loyalty to your fellow man is vastly exceeded by your loyalty to the party. Guys like Mussolini adored guys like you.

Since nazism believes that the aryan race is superior, this puts it on the right.

By that logic and, since the left supports abortion, all serial killers are leftists.
Nazis forced abortion thru eugenics, also Trump supports eugenics.
Also Trump pardoned a child murderer.

You're unhinged.

The founding fathers were nationalists. Abraham Lincoln was a nationalist. Were they also "fascist"?

Another dishonest post from a soulless atheist. Shocking.

Jesus was speaking of guys like you when he said this: John 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
