Left-Wingers Enter New Depths of Rage Over Supreme Court's Nationwide Injunction Ruling

True, but one of the ancient Chief Justices said para. "the Constitution says what we say it says".
Translating "intent" from word meanings back in the 1700s is good work. There were no "illegals" or "anchor babies" back then.
That is why we have the amendment process and why it should be used now. Not some interpretation that can later be changed on a whim.

Don’t you find it odd how leftists have no problem with regional judges acting like kings?
Only when it benefits their interests. They were furious during the last administration when judges acted this way.

Who knows what he is, but he has a severe case of TDS, there's nothing Trump could do that he wouldn't call 'fascist'.
That's not true. I used to give him props for avoiding wars. Used to.

No.

I fully expect the left to use the courts in any way they can to achieve their goals.

They can't win in the public arena so they have to carry out their minority policy program through the courts.

I want a class action suit that stops state SCOTUS's from stopping school prayer.
It's been their go-to policy since the mid-sixties.

I'm apprehensive about the ruling and see it as a loss for those of us that distrust government by executive order. For those celebrating now, imagine the delight you'll have about the matter when the Democrats gain the office.
The truth is, I'm not sure the democrats will ever regain national power. They have alienated almost every relatively sane group among voters. I think they will lose in 2026 and again in 2028 and will cease to exist on a national level like the Whig party did two centuries ago. Something more moderate will form, quite possible growing from the moderate Republicans like me and the moderate former Democrats while the current party gets further and further left until it's as inconsequential as the American Communist Party.

No. The 14th Amendment specifically mentions diplomats. It says nothing about illegals because there was no such thing. We need to change the Constitution.
It also references Indians who obviously had allegiance to their tribes like illegal aliens have allegiance to their birth nations.

No one has been denied citizenship yet because if their birth certificate says they were born here, they are given a driver's license and allowed to vote with no question.

My question for the Trump administration is how will they enforce this law? The only way I can think is passing a law requiring all states to list the citizenship of both parents on the birth certificate. Also, will they deny citizenship to everyone born of an illegal in the past? How will they know? My wife's father had no birth certificate as he was born at home in 1917. Are they sure he wasn't an illegal? He did have a foreign sounding last name!

They did ask for the birthplace of my parents on the application for a passport last week, but that information came from me and not my birth certificate. How do they know I didn't lie?
I'm sure that citizens born to illegal aliens prior to the EO will be grandfathered in. It's the only way to make a policy change this large work.

Indeed. If you think uninhibited EOs are "libertarian", you're far more deluded than I initial thought. My bad. That benefit of the doubt thing doesn't always work out.

You are so hyper deranged, you are not even paying attention.

Uninhibited EO's ?

You are really lost in space.

Huh? If Trump issues an unconstitutional EO - like Biden did with student loans - the SCOTUS will reverse it.

We can’t have Dems looking for regional activist leftist judges to block presidential EOs.

Not quite 2 centuries, but we get the idea.

How will they do that without passing legislation because the EO does not address the issue? That's just another of the plot holes in the story.
