Democrats appeal to racists and sexists. Many Democrats will vote for a candidate just because they are the same color and/or same sex as themselves. That attitude is perfectly acceptable in Democratic circles. Hypocritically, it is not considered racist or sexist. Republicans rarely list race or gender as a reason for voting for anybody, because they aren’t determining factors…at all.
