The reason they are in nato is because after 1990 Russia came around to wanting them back as puppet states in their Empire.

Doubtful that Russia has enough balls to start a nuclear war with NATO. I was tracking aircraft last night on flightrader24.com. We had two large surveillance aircraft in a pattern over Moldavia, which isn't a NATO country. There are other NATO and US aircraft in holding patterns right across the Ukraine border in other NATO countries as well. The Russians aren't going to do shit.

Now, the US should stop Russian oil and LNG imports, force India to limit its trade with Russia, a green light to USA "volunteer" and export more weapons, full swift ban, talk to EU about full sanctions and embargo.
