"Lawyer who prosecuted Trump hauled in front of House judiciary committee

Exclusive: Jay Bratt, who led Mar-a-Lago case, first special prosecutor known to be summoned after Trump vows revenge

The former special counsel prosecutor Jay Bratt is scheduled to appear before the Republican-led House judiciary committee next week as it attempts to find instances of politicization in the federal criminal cases brought against Donald Trump, according to three people familiar with the matter.

The deposition of Bratt, who led the criminal case over Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents as a top deputy to the former special counsel Jack Smith, has been scheduled for 10am ET next Wednesday, according to a notice reviewed by the Guardian.

Bratt’s appearance is the first known instance of a special counsel prosecutor being hauled before the judiciary committee since Trump took office vowing revenge and personally directing the firings of more than a dozen prosecutors who worked for Smith within days of his inauguration.

It was not clear how long the deposition might last and whether Bratt planned to invoke any privileges to avoid testifying. A spokesperson for the judiciary committee did not immediately respond to questions about the deposition."

One of Biden's home invaders will be put under oath and questioned. I wonder, if a federal grand jury has already questioned him?

Go for it

Lets bring up all the evidence against Trump about storing classified documents at Mara Lago.

Trump had squashed most of it, but now the Prosecutor has to bring it up in his defense

The Canadian and British systema allow the law to be weaponized against citizens at the whim of agencies or direction. Most often against the lower caste as it is easy to do and akin to the East German system they can destroy that person.

If the U.S emulates the Canadian system in which people are deemed "enemies" simply because they have differing views or believe in different policies, you will in effect become like us. You will have continued abuses against prospective politicians.

As Trump was celebrating a trade agreement with the U.K for instance, there were people arrested for twitter postings in the U.K. Non-violent postings. This is why if you listened to Trumps press conference during this signing, one of the media outlets asked fiercely, "were there any human right obligations linked to this signing"?!

The reason they asked I suspect, is that they WANT other nations to operate as they please, they don't want civil liberties to be linked to economics. This is because they wish America to emulate these systems be it China, Canada or any other nation that is violating the premises they public feign support for.

As an example, what has occurred in France, Germany and other European nations is a betrayal of what American Values represent. They are a betrayal of the types of systems men in WWII died and fought AGAINST.

It was the Germans who once copied the Italian model promoted by Mussolini that eliminated judicial restrictions and political competition. It seems what is old is new again.

Thus, this is my around about manner of advising Americans to be aware of the weaponization of police and justice against opponents. It isn't enough to just hold them to account though, the U.S must not allow it to permeate in the U.S and they must demand the same from their allies. If not, how do you define what an ally is? How do you define what it is that America represents?

Nations have interests and it is to varying degrees these interests intersect or diverge. However, in the objective of maintaining core values, the U.S must lead by example, hold to account and also publicly demand the same of allies. This is why J.D Vance and to a lesser extent Rubio have gained global respect. They called out bad actors, even if they were from traditional partner locations.

If not, the same external interference into U.S affairs, political, economic or otherwise, will continue. It won't lead to a pleasant outcome for the U.S or the West.

Who gave the order to raid Trump's home? Former AG Garland? Joe Biden? Dr. Jill "Autopen" Biden? The famous artist Hunter Biden?

The Democrats cannot be allowed to use lawfare against their political opponents.

I'm sure there will be the typical grandstanding by the usual suspects.....On both sides. It will be enough to make you puke coat hangers.

Sigh, I guess it will have to be tolerated to get referrals for prosecution.

Prosecution for WHAT??? Doing their jobs and prosecuting felons???

Try electing a President who isn't a criminal. Then you won't have to embarass yourselves in this manner.

The world is watching, and seeing how insane you've become. NOBODY will respect or honour your criminal President or anything his corrupt administration does.

Whilst turning a blind eye to Biden taking classified documents.
