Lawmakers in the US are "starting to realise" that Ukraine will have to be divided with Russia

It's funny you mention a country without heating and electricity because Ukraine isn't suffering from those problems, Russia currently is, and that's with no one bombing their infrastructure and tearing their country up.

Right, all Putin had to do was leave Ukraine to end the war, but he refuses. Saying something so simplistic as this war "should have" stopped a year ago offers no answers or solutions.
Some parts definitely are. The city of Kherson is one of the examples. But you missed my point. Comparing Ukraine with Afghanistan is laughable. Because the Ukrainians won't be fighting like the Afganis did. Different country, different culture, different mentality.

Actually, I numerous times wrote about my 'solution'. But your ilk inevitably began ranting about a rump state with no value etc.

Sure, Kherson is under constant shelling because it's so close to the front. Russian cities are safe and sound and multiple cities are literally in the dark, and you think that this war will go on for 10 years? Russians will be the ones fighting in caves. They have virtually no air defense. How will they occupy the Donbas, much less take over the rest of Ukraine when long range bombs, drones and F16s are constantly shredding their tanks and equipment? Ukraine will keep fighting because they know they will win.

No one argues that that the Putin regime turned Russia into an authoritarian shithole. Or, more correctly, successfully keeps it in this mode.

Long range bombs, drones and F16s? Is it supposed to be a bad joke, especially about F16s?

What the Ukrainians know is that in addition to lost territories, millions of displaced, many thousands of killed and wounded, damaged economy and infrastructure there exists an incompetent ruling class that tries to turn Ukraine into 'another Russia' - with closed inner circle, pocket government, constant corruption schemes, restricted civil rights etc.

Prove it. Not that that has anything to do with Ukrainians being unwilling to fight either way.

Actually, ESay post from Ukraine, and he do know what happens there.

Yes, of course. Because leaving Ukraine (and allowing it to join NATO and committing discrimination and genocide of the local Russians) is not an option neither to him, nor to the Russian society.

The answers are simple: denazification (which includes the recognition of the free choice of people of Crimea, Novorussia, and possibly other former Ukrainian regions), demilitarisation, neutral status.
The solution is quite simple, too: defund the criminal, corrupted and neo-nazistic Kievan regime and allow the Russians work out this mess.

Maybe Putin can try denazifying Alaska as well. Russia says Alaska belongs to them. We should respect historical borders and allow Russia to free the poor russians who still live here from tyranny!

Prove what? Ukrainian mindset? I can't do that, obviously. Consider it my own biased opinion.

The Russians don't call Americans as nazies because they do not discriminate Russian people and do not ban public usage of Russian (or any other) language.
Anyway. The Russians do want to take Alaska and California but the highest price that they are ready to pay for it - is one million of Russian lives. The Americans want to keep Alaska and California, and the highest price we are ready to pay for it is, say, fifty million American lives.
The Americans want to take Crimea and Novorussia, but we are not pay more than one million of American lives, the Russians want to keep Crimea and Novorussia, and the highest price they are ready to pay for it, is, say, fifty million Russian lives.

So, while both America and Russia have a reliable capability of the second strike (that can kill more than one million of aggressors civilians), highly unlikely, that the other side can dare to attack (at least directly).

But yes, in the case of a second civil war in America, it's seems quite likely, that the Russians will mostly indirectly support the people of Alaska (not only Russians, of course). They already have a flag for People's Republic of Alaska.

At this time in history it's all of the US Regime that needs denazifying.
