So why do they call it "Latin America"? And why do they call them "Latinos"?
Have you ever heard a Mexican speak Latin? I can't say that I have.
I guess they can't all be funny.But the Peruvians and Bolivians do .

1) Italian, French, Spanish (Portuguese ?) are all derived from Latin and referred to as the 'Latin' languages.
They are referred to as the Romance Languages, and you left out Romanian....

There is also a small group of them in Switzerland, called Romantsch Grischun, and in North Italy, called Ladin.Thanks for both.
