Latest Hamas leader has reached room temperature

So you claim he should be biased, just in the opposite direction? Is that really what you'd advise an impressionable child?
Not sure how you arrived at that conclusion when I said equal times should be spent seeing religion in its worst possible light and best possible light. Because that's part of being objective.

According to you he isn't an impressionable child but wise beyond his years. Personally I think that's a BS argument because I too was 12 years old once and I know that it wasn't until I was in my mid-thirties that I had acquired enough wisdom to wade through these accounts. And even then it took me 15 years before it made sense to me. And it wasn't until then that I could even begin to understand the context of what I was reading.

But if he wants to behave like an evangelical and read these accounts literally, more power to him, but he's only confirming his ill conceived biases.

Did you see World War Z? Do you recall the job of the 10th man? Do that.

Is that really where we have spent the most time battling? C'mon man, don't be that guy. But hey, if that's how you want to see it, go for it.

But for the record this branch of the discussion started with you arguing with another poster that their anecdotal data had no value. I couldn't resist the opportunity of throwing the anecdotal data of your 12 year old existence back into your face. So this isn't really about your atheism. It's about your hypocrisy.

I'd say being objective means seeing in the clearest possible light.

As I told you, his enlightenment at age 12 had absolutely nothing to do with ANY scripture, it came from seeing the world he lived in. Did it look like one God created all the world's very different religions or was it more likely that every culture created its own religion? The later seemed more likely and the probability that only one of the many religions had an accurate picture of God seemed rather low.

I've heard this all before. You made up your mind with the mind of a 12 year old. And that was that. It's been closed ever since.

I'm out of here. Good luck with your normalization of deviance, external locus of control and predictable surprises.

I'm sure dismissing me makes you feel better since otherwise I'd be a threat to your belief system. Why you feel so threatened I have no idea. Do Protestants, Hindus, and Muslims also threaten it?

Hit 'em long and straight.

If I had dismissed you, I wouldn't have had this conversation. You are confusing dismissal with completion. There's nothing more I can add or need to add. I've said it all.

Agree. Sometimes when you’re sucked down the rabbit hole with people like Alang, you’re better served devoting your efforts and time in other threads.

Right now, for example, I am engaged on the thread where a violent antisemitic pro-Palestinian attacked INNOCENT Jews in Colorado who were peacefully calling for the release of the poor hostages still suffering under HAMAS.
