This happened last month, so I’m not sure it’s still a current event. Nonetheless...

In East Boston recently, a mother and her daughter were physically attacked by two women who were apparently enraged by the fact that the family members were speaking Spanish to each other. The attack was caught on surveillance video.

The incident took place in Maverick Square, an area with lots and lots of Spanish speakers.

Pure nonsense.
There's no reason to attack somebody just because they don't speak English (or any other language in another country, of course)

Also, there is diversity where I live. I live on a cul-de-sac. I have a couple from the UK beside me, and black nurse living across the street, and two latino families living in the circle at the end. We all get along great. One of the families hosts an amazing Cinco de Mayo party every year. My other neighbor and I host a great barbeque party on the 4th of July. We watch out for each other. When my daughter came to stay to get away from the Hurricane in 2017, she and her friend were sitting on the porch during the day, and had 3 different people come and talk to them (partly to find out who they were and why they were at my house). The nurse across the street stopped as she was backing out of her driveway to take a pic of my daughter and her friend. That is what better neighborhoods do.

And NONE of these people went to the schools I’m talking about affected by the Latino invasion in poor communities in the 80s and 90s.. so if you like these people there is only one place to move and that is in the poor communities.. If not then shut the **** up

I live in a urban city and are looking at jobs Americans used to work being taken by LOW WAGE FOREIGNERS THAT DONT SPEAK ENGLISH AND OWN 6 houses in their home country! They shouldn’t be here! In some parts of the country Spanish has been spoken longer than English.

I have a friend who is bilingual, and she has taught her son to be bilingual as well. The son typically speaks English, but reverts to Spanish if he wants more privacy, like to say he needs to go to the bathroom.

The actions of the two women in attacking was nothing more than a criminal act.

How is this a serious question? Poor Americans need the best resource, you need to work on your communication skills to get any type of job to participate in any type of democracy.. school kids that don’t speak English you can’t practice English you cannot practice perfect English,, turn on rap music this is what kids in these poor schools sound like in real life, I worked a community centers I went to these schools my nephew goes to the schools poor American kids cannot communicate.

It is a legitimate question. If a kid speaks Spanish and English, how is he the cause of shitty schools?

Because most of the kids don’t speak English in common areas, where kids communicate and grow, most stay in clusters and communicate, it forces fractions on communication.. it’s a disastrous results in the past two generations.. my uncles went to inner-city schools before my generation you could talk to them about anything and they can communicate they can negotiate... my generation they have nothing but hardship mostly because of Communication skills
