I watched the 30 minute press conference that detailed the charges. They gave a million dollars (over multiple years) to just one KKK guy alone. What the hell could he have possibly told them (as an "insider") that is worth that much money?

Any number of things. As you know, white nationalists are vile disgusting humans who are not above murder, arson, intimidation, etc... Having a guy on the inside makes sense if you’re investigating them.
