MONTGOMERY, AL — The Southern Poverty Law Center defended itself against reports of controversial spending practices by informing donors that funding the Ku Klux Klan is only 3% of what they do.

"We offer many important services for our donors," SPLC Spokesperson Katie McGillis told reporters. "Paying the KKK to commit hate crimes is only a very small portion of what we do, and that seems to be the part people want to talk about the most. We also provide hate maps, training in how to harass your neighbors, detailed information regarding how to organize riots on the United States Capitol, and so much more."

The Department of Justice filed 11 indictments against the SPLC for wire fraud and other financial misdeeds. The SPLC has a history of targeting right-wing voices and advocating for civil unrest and political violence, and the charging documents revealed the SPLC may also have been paying extremist groups to perpetrate hate crimes and stir violence in an effort to raise more funds.

"Look, if all we focus on is our payments to the KKK and our support of racist groups, we're going to miss what the SPLC actually stands for: perpetuating racism and hate," McGillis said. "We understand some may take issue with our support of the KKK, but remember, the KKK is just a clump of poorly organized domestic terrorist cells. It really doesn't have any sort of legitimacy."

At publishing time, the SPLC also defended its financial support for Hamas, saying that without the money they sent, the terrorist organization might not have been able to hold those Israeli hostages for as long as it did.

LOL, "only" 3%. What does SPLC feel the cut off number is? What is the magic number?

Did you forget you are in the political satire section?
These days, there is no real difference between the satire section and the political section

At some point they seemed to have joined naturally as one.

After all, half of what the Bee writes comes true, which is why it is the only fake news that you can trust.

Ho Li Fuk!

That last line is about as cold as it gets.

So when Trump said there were good people on both sides ..... The SPLC was not in that group?
