this is one of the cases that should make you consider carrying a gun for self defense.....
These killers attacked this family...they beat the husband with a bat...raped the wife and two teenage daughters, set fire to the home, which killed the wife and daughters.......
To this day the Doctor...has vision problems and vertigo......and his wife and daughters were taken from him in the most savage way imaginable........
Multiple felonies for both men....and then they commit this atrocity......
We don't have a gun problem..we have a judge and prosecutor problem....
Cheshire Killer Resentenced To Life Without Parole, As Connecticut Begins To Dismantle Death Row
The men tied up and tortured the family as they ransacked the Petit home for cash and valuables. Komisarjevsky sexually assaulted Michaela, and Hayes raped and strangled Hawke-Petit. The house was doused with gasoline and set on fire. Hayley and Michaela died of smoke inhalation.
The crime led to a public outcry for Connecticut to strengthen its laws against repeat offenders when it was learned that Hayes and Komisarjevsky had previously been convicted of multiple felonies. Citing the Cheshire case, Gov. M. Jodi Rell in 2009 vetoed a resolution that would have eliminated the death penalty.
