Kids with a handgun

Good. Now you need to ban Americans from owning guns.
What other things that a few people are irresponsible with should we ban?

What about cheeseburgers? Some people eat too many and get heart disease

What about all cars too?

The left always like to blame the firearm rather than the individual holding it.
The blame in this case falls squarely on the parents. The father is incarcerated (thus a crappy role model) and the mother doesn't want them (a poor excuse for a mother). These kids will just get worse as they get older because of lousy parenting.
I was around firearms and learned to handle firearms when I was 8 years old, joined the military and have several firearms of my own. The difference, good parental role models. Unfortunately, anyone can be a parent, no matter what they are like.
Most of the gun crime occurs in black neighborhoods, with gangs and black on black on crime. People like Candace Owens say it's because the fathers aren't in the kid's life. It really wouldn't change the negative culture if the fathers are themselves drug dealers, gang bangers, home invaders, thieves, et cetera.
As for gun ownership in general, there are approximately 82,000,000+ people in America that own firearms and the people committing crimes with them are less than one percent and most of them had the guns illegally in the first place, usually using stolen firearms from lawful individual's homes or cars.
Last 60% of deaths by firearms were suicides. Even if you took their firearm away, it wouldn't change their goal. They would simply hang themselves, slice their wrists, take pills, electrocute themselves, jump off a bridge or other high structure, take their car and ram into something at high speed, et cetera.
In my opinion men who stay with their wives and take on the responsibility of supporting a family and co-parenting the kids are very rarely addicts, drug dealers, gang bangers, home invaders, thieves, etc. And myriad competent studies have confirmed that while single parents can do a good job of raising the kids, ALL kids of ALL demographics will generally do better with a competent mother AND biological father in the home.

And it is a cultural thing I think. Like you I grew up in a small "little Texas" eastern New Mexico oil patch town in which high schoolers with pickups mostly had gun racks with rifles or shotguns in them parked in the school parking lot. We all had gun training at least with a rifle or shotgun from an early age and pretty much every home had such weapons mounted over the fireplace or in open gunracks or otherwise accessible to the kids past preschool age. Even though we knew how to use them, we knew not to touch them without permission and it would not have occurred to us to do so.

Every kid--boys and girls--had toy western type handguns and holsters and we played cops and robbers and cowboys and Indians with each other sometimes all day on weekends.

And I don't recall a single school or mass shooting ever when growing up and gun crime of any kind was also pretty non existent.

The problem is not the guns. The problem is the culture.

^^^ I second this. Guns or any other weapon are not dangerous until they end up in the possession of a person who doesn't know or care about gun safety.

God bless you always!!!

Your original question was loaded and you know it.
You are suffering from some level of paranoia perhaps? My statement was just as straight-forward and simple as the quote to which I was responding. It is you who is making an off topic detour ... and you know it. :nono:

NOTE: When you said "Nope" you either made a mistake or you lied. I don't care which one it is.

It's got nothing to do with me. I don't care if Americans blast each other to smitheens as long as they do it on their own turf. That's struth's problem.
The problem is we have a bunch of foreign invaders bringing their bullshit to our back yard.

They all have weapons, there's not a single one of them that doesn't.

America is and will remain the most heavily armed country on earth. In America, every backwoods hillbilly has a rifle. The problem is, the law says he can't use it. Which then forces him to get throwaways from the same place the gang members get theirs.

Oh, that's the reason why there are so many serial killers and mass shootings in the US.

There aren't very many.

I suppose you didn't see the recent pics of the judge hanging out with TdA gangsters and brandishing heavy weapons while smiling at the camera.

You're not reading this equation. You should get out more.

Gangs are like the federal government, they have to pay well otherwise they can't retain quality employees. Go talk to some of the cartelistas around the Westlake district in Los Angeles. They get medical insurance, paid time off, the whole nine yards.

Your knowledge is tightly limited. :itsok:
