A belief I've always had was to take your politics seriously, but not personally. Taking your politics personally evolves into hatred which is stupid. After all, I don't hate anybody because they have a different favorite baseball team, or perhaps a different rock band, or favorite movie. So why should I hate because they have a different political view than mine?
