And fair enough that you weren't questioning McCain's citizenship, but a lot of Democrats at the time were. Questioning a guy born on a military base was ridiculous. And BTW, I have argued against the birthers all along. Even though Obama's autobiography stated he was born in Kenya, I think he did that just because he was an elitist snob, I see no evidence he was born there and not in Hawaii as he also claimed. Which is the answer to your question. Since Obama claimed to have been both born in Kenya and Hawaii, it wasn't unreasonable to ask for proof. Even though I think it was pointless. McCain never claimed to have been born anywhere but one.

Fair enough. To set the record straight....what I questioned when McCain declared is that he had been a POW....not questioning his courage, but I know that the military set yearly physicals on all of the returning POWs and honored them...but NEVER EVER gave any of them a real tactical position ever again, not knowing what might really have affected them. I abide by that decision.
