Kansas—a state that Trump won by 15 points 56-41 just 2 years ago—just voted to protect abortion access by a landslide 26 points, 63-37

Late term abortion is very close to infanticide.

Early term abortion is no greater sin then a man looking at Playboy. That is not something any law should prohibit.

Contract killing is contract killing regardless of the age of the human being targeted for death.

If there is sin, targeting your own kid for death for your own benefit is as grave as sin gets.

So what grade is it that you actually made it to before quitting or flunking out?

Because holy moly, wow, no. Not just wrong, but what you are saying is literally insane.

THIS is a key lie the pro-choice people tell themselves to assuage their guilt over murdering unborn children or supporting the act. These are the same people who pretend to weep and moan over the deaths of children in school shootings. In their minds dismembering an unborn child is fine, but the shooting death of a child signals the end of civilization—unless all law abiding citizens are disarmed. And no, the pro-choice people cannot rationalize between the two subjects.

In Kansas, the following restrictions on abortion were in effect as of June 28, 2022:
  • A patient must receive state-directed counseling that includes information designed to discourage her from having an abortion, and then wait 24 hours before the procedure is provided.
  • Private insurance policies cover abortion only in cases of life endangerment, unless individuals purchase an optional rider at an additional cost.
  • Health plans offered in the state’s health exchange under the Affordable Care Act can only cover abortion in cases of life endangerment.
  • Abortion is covered in insurance policies for public employees only in cases of life endangerment.
  • The use of telemedicine to administer medication abortion is prohibited.
  • The parents of a minor must consent before an abortion is provided.
  • Public funding is available for abortion only in cases of life endangerment, rape or incest.
  • A patient must undergo an ultrasound before obtaining an abortion; the provider must offer the patient the option to view the image.
  • An abortion may be performed at 20 or more weeks postfertilization (22 weeks after the last menstrual period) only in cases of life or severely compromised physical health. This law is based on the assertion, which is inconsistent with scientific evidence and has been rejected by the medical community, that a fetus can feel pain at that point in pregnancy.
  • The state prohibits abortions performed for the purpose of sex selection.
Let's put all that shit up to a vote and see what happens

That's how detached the GOP is from what Americans want. Vote Them All Out.

What people want can be a catch-22 later on. If one likes butterfrosting yellow cake, that is fine, but it may cause them a case of obesity it they eat a cake a day instead of a basic-4 healthy diet. 4,000 v. 1200 kcals, oops! a week of that can take a person up 3 dress sizes. *eek!*

The day a woman who had an abortion or two wakes up one day after reading a murder mystery and realizes if the fetus is a human being (it is) then taking it out of its comfort zone (the womb) and someone flushed it down the toilet, that's not only inhumane, it's a sinister form of murder because of its expediency and lack of a forceful rebuttal. IOW, the little human being in its first developmental stages can't fend for itself to punch the jackass abortionist in the kisser, so he pries around with killer equipment, fishes around for the brain, then woooooooooooooosh! sucks that little grey matter straight out of the little human being which basically is its death sentence. :( That little kid had a mission in life, but it was denied the right to live and pursue happiness of its bent to do good for others in some special way. I can't believe that honorable medical people would break their Hippocratic Oath to do no further harm to the person being treated. Treating a young human being to death before nine months produces a cute little healthy, spirited kid squealing for its first meal of mother's loving milk, well, it's a crying pity, and good people do not harm helpless people, which is what a human being in the womb is--helpless. Girls, don't do it. Don't kill your family's dna handed down through birth. What if the kid receives a rare gene like a photographic memory? Those kind of people have second sight, and if on a battleground, they can correctly see what the enemy may be doing now if he was seen at x location 32 seconds ago. That would be a crime against humanity if that person with such a trait could turn a battlefield challenge into saved lives on his team, and you'd be the mother of a phenomenal hero who saved the nation instead of an excruciating defeat with civilian kills all around the area the genius wasn't due to his life's destruction before he was born to do a certain job, to defend his country from a heinous defeat. Yes, the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. Abortion can destroy not only the infant, but the country he couldn't be around to save. Don't kill it. Don't kill that child.

What is the practical result of this?

Can lib women get an abortion any time they choose for any reason at all?
Statement: "Can lib women get an abortion any time they choose for any reason at all"

Response: This is Kansas, not a very liberal state. Your bigotry is showing.

Sounds a lot more restrictive than "anybody-anytime". Good post.

And soon it will get decided by the people through their elected representatives in Washington, when it's codified on a Federal level.
Like after Republicans take over the whole congress and the presidency + the SCOTUS, "soon" ?

The result in Kansas is exactly why the GOP gerrymanders state legislatures—they know their positions are unpopular with the majority of voters
Ha ha. Let's see what the picture looks like when all the states have voted on this (although after 2020, I don't have a lot of confidence in "our" electoral systems)
