Kamala Harris Wowed That Electricity Charging EV Has No Sound or Smell

Does anyone recall when the first Teslas came out, a bunch of stuoid lefties demanded the cars should be forced to emit an artificial noise so that blind people do not get run over.

:laughing0301:

What would lefties do if they werent out there trying their best to fuck stuff up?

To date, I wonder how many blind people have gotten run over by a Tesla because of its lack of noise.

The wind resistance and tires make noise anyways at any sort of speed.

I don't remember that. What I do remember is the state of California bitching because they were no longer getting as much in gasoline tax. They wanted every car to have a GPS so the government not only knew where you were going all the time, but to keep track of your mileage so they can bill you at the end of the year for road taxes. I didn't follow up on the story so maybe they're doing that now.

Plus they will die in less than 10 years. Average cost for a new battery is over $5,000.
It will be closer to two years depending on the user. Batteries get a memory. If you keep driving your Tesla down to 80% every day and recharge it every night eventually your battery adjusts and your total battery capacity will be 20% of when they were new. Which then causes even more coal fired electricity use because in order to keep your batteries at full capacity you need to put your EV on blocks, run it until the batteries are dead and then do a long trickle charge.

Kinda like how when you get a new phone and the battery will last a few days but then you charge it every night and in short order it only lasts one day. Battery memory.

Very soon people will have EV’s that are sold to them on a 300 mile run time but due to their use will only go from work to home. And when they pack up the family for the 300 mile trip will actually be recharging it several times to go that far.

Most people don't know about electric autos as well.

its about time, the people in Central America can have jobs, instead of republicans using them.
You’re worried about Central America now?

They can all be recycled. In fact, if EVs are going to be a thing, then it's mandatory to recycle them.
They can, but that process still produces toxic waste...................and is done in plants powered by fossil fuels.

Plus I believe these estimates are in perfect weather conditions on totally level ground. Even with my evil fossil fuel car, they warn the operator of using the rear defoggers too much. You would think that it wouldn't be an issue with the engine running, but they advise caution because it takes so much electricity to operate. In the winter time up north, we use our defoggers all the time if not to defog, but to help melt the snow on the rear window.

Also in areas like ours are wind factors. It's windy all the time in northeast Ohio. When I was working my truck had a computer that could calculate MPH. MPH greatly decreases when you are fighting the wind. In fact our electricity got knocked out last weekend for a few hours because of the wind. It hit 60 mph. around here.

No. Who the hell told you this bullshit?

Lying. The statement is dead wrong.
Don’t hurt yourself trying to understand this. There are other articles with pictures, may be more your speed.

Not many people know about electric autos.

Some of the first automobiles ever made around 1900, were electric.
It is very old technology, but simply is not very efficient.
Anything electric is not very efficient.
Electric hot water heaters, home heating, etc. are much more efficient if done with gas, oil, propane, etc.
That is because electricity not only comes mostly from coal, but also has huge energy loses in conversion to electricity and back again.
And efficiency relates back proportionally to emissions.
Diesel cars pollute less than half as much as electric cars.

Wrong, conservative. Tesla batteries do not exhibit “memory effect” nor have the GM batteries found in the Volt and Bolt.

Wrong.
Memory effect is just a battery losing capacity over time, and lithium car batteries all do this as well.
There are no batteries that do not do this.
And now that they are using more fast chargers, battery life is being significantly reduced.
And the opposite of economy of scale, as EVs become more common, battery and component prices will increase due to the rare earth elements needed.
EVs make very little sense really, since we do not have the means of charging them.

Conservatives are always wrong.
