Actually, that whole policy has been shifting for years. For a long time all they cared about was if you had a degree, no matter how bad you really were, and they eventually realized that was biting them in the ass with a lot of bad workers, so now they are trying to shift more towards skills and accomplishments, git er done, and if you have degrees to go with those skills, all the better.
