Just saw Oppenheimer

Saw Dark Knight at the local outdoor drive in when it opened. The scenes were so dim I couldn't make out what was happening, and I fell asleep. It made more sense when I saw it the second time on TV. Didn't see Gladiator until it came out on TV, it was pretty good, but once you've seen it...

Not sure what LOTR is. I'm paying $208 per month for basic cable, a land line, and internet with four email accounts, and the the cable sucks. The only things we watch are Newsmax, old reruns of Gunsmoke, and the wife likes Hallmark and the cooking shows. They seldom have any decent movies that I haven't already seen, and I'm not bumping it up to the next cable package.

But the good part is that I can watch any of these on my computer if I want to. Whoopi shit.

Not into that fantasy stuff, I'm bored of the rings. Haven't seen the Departed.

Sometimes for shits and grins we turn on the ROKU in the TV and rent an old movie. The last one we watched was "Falling Down", an old classic.

Some of the scientists were ex-Nazis too. I wonder how they managed to keep from killing each other?

Did you need to pee?
NO.. I had to move seats 3 times.
The first was a fat man eating a large drum of popcorn.
Second- kid in front was on his cell phone
Third- old person near kept whispering . She could not follow the movie.

Finally finished in the handicap seat. Nobody was there.

3 hours! I saw Indiana Jones last week - 2 1/2 hours. Not sure i can sit though 3 hours. Is it worth seeing in the theater or can I wait to see at at home (nice home system),

I haven't been to a movie theatre since the 1990's. The seats were as bad as airline seats, and uncomfortable. I have no interest in ever going to one again; way too expensive to waste money on crap seating.

It's the argument about assassinating Hitler if one knew the future (some in his govt. tried). One of my favourite movies all time, The Dead Zone with Christopher Walken and Martin Sheen.when he asked the doctor, who is a deeply principled man what he would do if he knew the future in Germany, as he said "I'd have to kill the son of a *****". See the movie if you haven't it is excellent.. Yes the bomb saved lives. Those who died were really unfortunate victims. Hirosima was on America. Nagasaki was on Japans leadership who still refused to surrender and confirmed the justification for the first one really (clearly Japan was NEVER going to stop). The Samurai spirit is very honourable for the individual but not pragmatic for government.

The Japanese had planned to to drop dirty bombs on CAlifornia, but never got the chance, also a bio-plague. They were pieces of shit and deserved worse than they got. Before the attack on Pearl American Japs were celebrating the Japs rapes and murders in their conquests, and sending Jap troops packages similar to what Americans did via sending packages to soldiers overseas. There was nothing 'honorable' about the vermin. Their atrocities and treatment of prisoners and conquered peoples speak for themselves.

IT was not that bad after 4 moves. I recommend you use the handicap area as your final last stand move.
F gosh .. the guy was eating a popcorn Crat for a family of 7. His massive Drum of SODA was enough sugar to kill a human being.

It's a good movie. I didn't notice the 3 hours. Nolan is a damned good director. Yes, they didn't delve into the millions saved, but it WAS an excellent example of how the Deep State was forming back then.

We have a great theater that just opened near us. Huge leather lounger seats. On Tuesdays, every seat is $5.95 - the first run movies. It's got us back in the theater.
