She was civil and friendly to them and actually restrained the jerk who broke the window. The only officer that thought she was a threat was Byrd. Probably a lot of them. The thing is, being pulled over by the cops is ALWAYS stressful, but given that a black person is more likely to be shot by a cop than a white person, they have reason to be afraid.

And here's the thing. Whenever there is one of these incidents - Wilson, Chauvin, Van Dyke, Loehmann - what we always find out is that these officers had a long history of using excessive force or were otherwise problematic as officers, but they still had jobs, anyway.
