Being that 84% of the population is white, I don't find an all-white jury particularly alarming. The very argument that not having blacks on the jury might make a difference in his conviction is in itself, a declaration of admission that blacks are racially prejudiced. In fact, this dude might actually fare better if many of the white jurors are white liberals.

But it would be a good experiment to hold a mock murder trial with two juries, one all white and one all black, not letting them know the trial was fake, just to see what, if any difference there was in the jury decisions.

The matter of his possession of the weapon or how he got it was not pertinent to the charge of murder. The gun was obtained legally and it was legal to open carry.

Rittenhouse wasn't acquited, his use of force was deemed lawful homicide. In other words his defense was one of affirmative defense, meaning his use of deadly force was JUSTIFIED because he was under attack.
