A U.S. federal judge on Wednesday ordered a monitor be appointed to oversee the work of hardline Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio to ensure that his officers no longer use racial profiling in stops of Latino drivers in a crackdown on illegal immigration.
U.S. District Judge Murray Snow had in May ordered the Maricopa County sheriff to stop using race as a factor in law enforcement decisions, in response to a lawsuit brought by Hispanic drivers that tested whether police could target illegal immigrants without profiling U.S. citizens and legal residents of Hispanic origin.
On Wednesday, the same judge ordered parties in the case to agree on the selection of a monitor within 60 days to oversee the work of the 81-year-old lawman, who styles himself as "America's toughest sheriff."
The ruling also orders the sheriff's office to bolster its public outreach efforts, and mandates that deputies must tell dispatchers the reason for any traffic stops before approaching a vehicle.

Looks like not only are the Feds coming down on Sheriff Joe.....but so to in his own state now. Holder is out to hook him up and now he has even more controversy forcing inmates to pay for their own meals and now forcing them to be vegans. Thoughts upon the matter.

I have no idea what you're talking about.....a good deal of the 12,000,000 illegals in the US have come through Arizona. They die in our desert because former Goverernor Napolitano stopped the completion of the fence in the most desolate areas. That's forced the illegals to come through rattlesnake alley where if not bitten or stung by scorpions, they die of dehydration. Once here, their coyotes often continue robbing and raping them, then selling them into bondage. Culture shock....you should see the look on a primative Inca face when their eyes first spot a blonde woman. They are useless to us....they have few or no skills, they immediately are signed up for welfare and voting. They've left tons of trash in our beautiful Sonoran desert and made border ranchers abandon land their family has held for a hundred years out of fear. Only Sheriff Joe stands in the way of this disgusting scheme by the democRATs to gain another voter bloc.
