Anyone who has even sat through a Criminal Law class in law school could list at least a dozen reversible errors that have occurred in this trial...and that doesn't include the jury instructions yet. This inevitable conviction will be thrown out on appeal with such vigor that the Judge can expect demands that he be disbarred. Of course, the Left doesn't care that the conviction will be overturned. The purpose of the case is to be able to refer to Trump as a "convicted felon," which will remain true through the end of the General Election campaign. Too bad, the voting citizenry already sees through the bullshit.

If that were even a whisper the Dems would have jumped on it to throw her off the Smith case.
She grew up in Miami, her Mom fled Cuba BEFORE the revolution.
She hasn't shown any biases that I know of and has nothing requiring her to recuse herself.
In other words the comparison proves my point, the judge in NY risking everything is blatantly obvious, otherwise he would have recused himself day one.

Trump‘s Manhattan-based hush money trial on Monday. In an op-ed for the New York Post, Dershowitz blasted the Democrat-aligned judge over his political bias and treatment of Trump’s legal defense team.​

The former Harvard law professor also shed further light on a fiery exchange between Merchan and defense witness Robert Costello — which resulted in Judge Merchan briefly clearing the courtroom. According to Dershowitz — who was able to remain in the chamber despite the judge’s order — the judge threatened the witness, telling him he would “strike all of Costello’s testimony if he raised his eyebrows again.”​

Before clearing the room, Merchan repeatedly chastised Costello for rolling his eyes and making utterances in response to the judge’s rulings on the prosecution‘s objections. Dershowitz argued Merchan’s threat was unconstitutional, potentially violating Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to a fair trial and to confront witnesses. He called Merchan’s response to Costello “absolutely outrageous, unethical, unlawful and petty.”​
