The Onion's winning bid for the assets of Alex Jones' bankrupt conspiracy-theory site Infowars is under further review.

The bankruptcy judge overseeing the Chapter 7 liquidation of Infowars and Jones' assets on Thursday temporarily halted the transfer of Infowars to the Onion and ordered an evidentiary hearing for next week to review the auction - in which bids were submitted secretly. "No one should feel comfortable with the results of this auction," Judge Christopher Lopez of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas said at an emergency hearing, per the AP.

Technically Elon had nothing to do with it. It was Elon Musk's attorneys. Musk is putting his money where the free speech rubber meets the road. ;)

Let's face it.....The whole second best bid win was more than fishy.

Not an AJ fan but I’m glad this was stopped.

It looks like they were breaking the law as well. Federal investigation is likely underway.

Absolutely absurd situation to begin with. Alex Jones has the right to freedom of speech, no matter how much people hate him.

Collins, in a statement, said, "The Onion is proud to acquire Infowars, and we look forward to continuing its storied tradition of scaring the site's users with lies until they fork over their cold, hard cash. Or Bitcoin. We will also accept Bitcoin."
Infowars' account on X, meanwhile, expressed unhappiness with the situation thusly in a post just before 2 a.m. ET on Friday: "The Onion sucks."

The Sheeple have never come close to realising that this extended incident has been theatre from the start .
Alex 's bosses , the CIA , simply wanted a Fake deterrent to curb further whistle blowers from spilling the proverbial .
