‘A federal judge on Tuesday agreed to permanently block the Trump administration from implementing a presidential directive to end federal funding for National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service.

U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss in Washington ruled that President Donald Trump’s executive order to cease funding for NPR and PBS is unlawful and unenforceable. The judge said the First Amendment right to free speech “does not tolerate viewpoint discrimination and retaliation of this type.”’

“viewpoint discrimination”

Reporting facts and the truth the Trump regime and conservatives don’t like is hardly a ‘viewpoint.’

Indeed, the un-Constitutional retaliation against NPR and PBS is motivated by the wrongheaded notion that both are ‘liberal.’

And this is yet another example of Trump’s contempt for the First Amendment and a free press.

/----/ No one is stopping NPR and PBS from broadcasting. But not on the taxpayer dime. Let them sell ad space and get private funding.
This will be overturned.

Does PBS send money to my business? Then why do I have to send my money to their business?

I wonder which America-hating lib democrat president appointed the judge?

If you think NPR isn't biased left and anti-Trump all day every day, you are drunk.

The Law?

Try and educate yourself on the law
There is no law that says my business has to support yours. If there is, it needs to be abolished.
Candace King Weir donates her money to PBS. PBS holds fundraisers. They should not be allowed to demand I shore them up as well...

No.

pay attention, it's pretty simple

Why and how and when was it decided in Congress to fund those entities

try hard

Try reading what the Judge actually addressed, and not some inane babbling narrative
/----/ The First Amendment guarantees the government will not control free speech, but it does not require taxpayers to pay for it.
Now explain what Inanne is babbling about with that.

15th post
Who said that? Who says or said that "The First Amendment guarantees the government will...require taxpayers to pay for it?" Who?
/-----/ Post number 1. A federal judge said that. Try reading the thread before commenting.

Mr Roger's went to Washington and the congressional board who was on the side of not funding PBS, begrudgingly allowed him to speak last. When Mr. Rogers was finished, the anti-PBS funding man in charge of the board, shook his head and said, "Mr. Rogers, you just saved PBS". So they funded.
That is not the PBS that we have today. We now have the American version of the BBC. And I wouldn't spend one dime on that progressive garbage. I should not be forced to help PBS promote their propaganda...

/-----/ What would the screeching monkeys on the left say if the government funded Fox News and Newsmax?
