You know, there's nothing like finding old friends you haven't seen or talked to in 5 years online and the simple fact that follows knowing that they are still alive and still well. It's a really awesome feeling. For me, I've found 8 of my old friends now, though 3 have responded, I just found another 3 today (seeing as how the original total was 5). I just wanted to throw out some happyness from my end of the world.

One of my best friends from high school lives in Atlanta now and is in and out of jail. I'll get the occasional text or IM from him, which is basically "hey what's up I'm still alive." It's always nice to reconnect with him.

And, after a prolonged lack of communication, one of my buds from college is back from almost 2 years in Iraq with the Army. He's out in Colorado, so it's nice to know he's safe and sound.
