The news that Lindsay Boehner has been dating and is now engaged to Dominic Lakhan, a Black Jamaican, has been rather subdued. Here on USMB there have been mixed reactions. Some RW posters expressed anger and even negged me for posting a breaking news story. Some cried FOUL when the National Enquirer was thought to be the source of the story. It turned out that the NE was only interested in Dominic's "criminal" history and used the engagement as a backdrop to sell more papers.
Someone, disturbed by Lindsay's and Dominic's relationship, dug around in his background and found a 7 year old police report apparently disclosing his sole encounter with the law. The story went viral in the murky underworld of yellow journalism. A copy of the police report has been published for all to see; and, the tabloids, focusing on the pot arrest, spread the germ with malevolent intent.
While Dominic's race has been down played in the media, I am not so naive as to believe the "conservative" crowd is happy with Lindsay's choice of a mate to father her children. Heaven forbid, they just might produce another Barrack Obama!

I don't believe in the use of political tags like liberal and conservative because I am both.
I am not totally defined by either. My objection is based on your distorted view of who and what a Liberal is, not the moniker itself! The word drips from your mouth like green poison dripping from the fangs of a venomous reptile.
