But to the average citizen, it looked like he did a pretty good job. He didn't close the beaches because that would have economically ruined the town.

He had every reason to believe the shark had been killed, but he still allowed Sheriff Brody to take additional precautions against the real shark.

When it was found to be a different shark, he took positive action in hiring Quint to take it out.

The point here, is we have a legal system that has double standards. Either they are both guilty, or we need to stop weaponizing the system for political purposes.

The Clinton's broke far more laws, and were far more corrupt. The problem with their corruption, is it led to the CIA's drug running, and unraveled the entire Deep State black ops, and the establishment couldn't have that.
