The Hyde Amendment was fully bipartisan and universally supported by constituencies on both sides of the aisle. You take an honest poll today and I'm pretty sure a substantial majority of Americans would still agree with it.

The Hyde Amendment does not prohibit anybody from having an abortion nor does it prohibit the states from funding abortions if they want to. It only disallows federal, tax payer funds to be used to fund abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or to preserve the life of the mother.

That is the most partisan hateful thing I have seen on this thread yet. Honesty, you are accusing Republicans of killing babies in Border Patrol custody? How can anybody say such a thing with a clear conscience? Do you have no shame?

People are arriving at the border daily with deadly communicable diseases including tuberculosis and flesh eating bacteria. Up to 80% of women making the trip from Central America are raped, many multiple times, some multiple times daily. And the children in those caravans are too frequently not accompanied by parents but are abducted or 'rented' as a ploy to get into the U.S. God only knows what happens to those kids when such 'families' are released into the general population.

The border patrol is overwhelmed by the sheer numbers and 60% of the entire border patrol force is doing their best to care for the tens of thousands forced into their care, some of which are so ill they cannot be saved. And you accuse THEM of killing those babies when it is the DEMOCRATS who refuse to lift a finger to stop this terrible thing from happening? If anybody is responsible for the deaths of people at the border, it is the DEMOCRATS who are putting partisanship and vitriol ahead of country. They hate the President so much they would allow, even encourage, this humanitarian crisis to exist rather than lift a finger to help the President stop it.
