I agree he's fruit loops, but IMO he's the most amazing actor there is. He doesn't just play a role, he seems to become a different person. I remember watching him as Johnny Cash in Walk The Line and not believing that was the same guy who played Emperor Commodus in Gladiator.

He's an actor and receiving an award for being the best at what he does,[ "suspending disbelief"] and he was not the least bit believable, nothing he said rang true, looked and sounded completely scripted.
