And then the GOP would invite him to adress incoming Congressional Republicans.

Everyone knew that much of his audience thought of his program as a legitimate news source.

The same audience takes anonymous posts on X by people they know nothing about as real news.

The reason Rush's audience (of 28 million on AM Radio) thought his show was news was because he kept revealing the truth the media refused to cover.

Rush was always 99.999% correct, whereas the MSM was usually mostly wrong because they were always gaslighting everyone. This is why they kept losing followers, because they had zero integrity and had a clear lack of trust factor going. Never mind the fact the MSM practices censorship, something that used to be considered unethical if not outright dishonest.

Been watching the series "Lioness" on Paramount. Great CIA/Spy Operative show. In the last season, and maybe the second to last episode of season 2, a scene takes place that speaks exactly to what our MSM is doing today that literally everyone has bought into regardless of your political affiliation.

Rush was always 99.999% correct, whereas the MSM was usually mostly wrong because they were always gaslighting everyone. There once was a thing called journalistic integrity. The "reporters" ensured that their opinions and feelings were not written into the news. And the FCC was there to ensure it never happened. The news editors then would have had a meltdown over what happens today.

Then the rules changed, Rush Limbaugh was the first and then the blatant opinions began disguised as news. However the FCC began a campaign of deliberately NOT enforcing the neutrality back in the 60's.

It's only gotten worse since.

Rush Limbaugh was NOT a journalist. He did not report news.

He repeated headlines, pandered to his audience (altering his patter to reflect the topic lines Mr Serdley put up on his screen of incoming calls, and made generous use of the seven second delay. Thst way, he could tell his know nothings how smart he was and that he never “almost” a debate (because he scrupulously avoided any real debate.

He promoted fake news from trashy blogs like NewsMax and WND, passing them off as real news.

The point was that Rush had a strongly one sided opinion of politics and created an entire broadcast over his viewpoints without being balanced whatsoever. Which at one time was blatantly against the former FCC rules that they repealed.

Following his lead....ALL MSM did the same INCLUDING news broadcasts but sold the news as being unbiased and balanced which was a blatant lie.

Broadcasters were more concerned with the parent companies that owned them than being politically balanced.

Which of late got a certain English commenter (has a crow as his moniker) of various American news stories (involving big money and corruption) in trouble over far past sexual exploits. (Big money can create dirt if none exists....but are happy to exploit any dirt they can discover)
He was explicit in detailing and reciting PUBLIC information over BOD and executives and how bad the corruption in our government was and had been.

CNN & MSNBC are going broke. So are the rest of the networks, because people have discovered that they've been lying to us all of these years.
