There once was a thing called journalistic integrity. The "reporters" ensured that their opinions and feelings were not written into the news. And the FCC was there to ensure it never happened. The news editors then would have had a meltdown over what happens today.

Then the rules changed, Rush Limbaugh was the first and then the blatant opinions began disguised as news. However the FCC began a campaign of deliberately NOT enforcing the neutrality back in the 60's.

It's only gotten worse since.

Oh I do not believe it exists anymore except in a few pockets here and there. These are not political sites.
They provide information about various things that are A-political. Sometimes politics gets voiced...but it's by people in the commentary section. Nobody really cares. It's not the purpose of those websites.
(Cooking and baking forums, leather crafting forums, SCUBA diving and etc)

But these places will have various articles written from time to time...either on new tech, new gear, material or equipment articles. New regulations.... (There's only so many tanneries left producing leathers)
(With tarrifs, leather is likely going to become more expensive....we don't produce much but it's enough to trigger the thing and jack up the costs)

I'm not so much a Trump fan as it is I refuse to crap on the dinner table.

Trump, at best, is a mid quality president. And it's kinda stretching it to go that far.

But the alternatives are so horrible of late and blatantly anti-American that he seems like a hero to many. I'm not one of those but he definitely has been miles better than the self destructive path the Democrats had us on.

And yes, biased journalists exists everywhere....everyone follows America's lead....and if we actually started having some. Things might change around the world. But people prefer what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear.

Just as a side note. Back when all you could get was broadcast television....fox came into an area where it only was the big 3 and PBS. During the news hour when the big 3 were having local and national news back to back Fox broadcast old Wonder Woman reruns with Linda Carter.
When the ratings came out Wonder Woman won the ratings each quarter for over a year. The Big 3 complained and politicians did as well. But Federal Guidelines were being followed....nothing anyone could do. The advertisers loved running ads during Wonder Woman hour. It was better and cheaper than time slots around the weather report.

I don't trust any media outlet. Seems dangerous and stupid. The problem is when trying to fact check or get information now, you don't know what's real and what's being left out. You basically have to invest your life into constantly digging for that sort of information and quite frankly I'm to disillusioned with our media and government to bother with investing that much time into it.

This is the Fox “News” business model. And has been since it was founded. It is also the standard tactic of every right wing radio show and podcast.

And, if the news won’t keep the audience either triggered or entertained, they just make it up. Thst is Fox corporate policy.

Everyone knew that much of his audience thought of his program as a legitimate news source.

The same audience takes anonymous posts on X by people they know nothing about as real news.
